No trip to the desert would be complete with a little exploration. Coyote Ridge Stables has the perfect way for you to not only explore, but also live out your old western dreams of being a cowboy or the Lone Ranger.
Tour guides take riders through the canyons of Morongo Valley, San Gorgonio mountains and Mount San Jacinto. At 3200 feet above sea level the rocky terrain is the perfect place to check out the wildlife and plants that decorate the desert landscape. Riders will get the chance to encounter animals such as red tailed hawks, golden eagles and kestrels as they soar high above. If luck is on their side riders might get the chance to catch some coyote pups playing together as they roll through the sand. The chirping of Gambel's quails will ring through your ears as you make your way through creosote bushes.
Of courses being out in the desert can be a little bit treacherous, that is why groups will be accompanied by a couple of tour guides to ensure the safety of the riders as well as the horses.
Of course just because your ride may come to an end, that doesn't mean that your desert experience has come to an end. A staff member will go over some of the flora and fauna that you may have come across during your adventure.
For the animal lover or just somebody that wants to get back to nature, the Coyote Ridge Stables is something you need to experience during your trip to Palm Springs.
