Mesquite Golf Course
2700 E Mesquite Ave
Palm Springs, CA 92264
People come from all around the country just to hit the links in Palm Springs. Now you can visit one of the most prestigious courses around.
Just a five minute trip from the Villa Royale Inn, the Mesquite Golf Course and Country Club has become one of Palm Springs most beloved resorts for those that are looking for the exclusive feel of a private club and the convenience of a public course.
Located near the heart of downtown and within walking distance of shopping, hotels and restaurants, the course is cut out of a grove of mesquite trees and offers golfers a beautiful if not challenging course.
With rolling hills and breathtaking mountain views, the 18 hole course is highlighted by eight small lakes that serves as water hazards. The toughness of the course gets cranked up a notch when the water begins to flow along the streambed. In addition to the bunkers and the water hazards, the course also has palm trees that decorate the sides of the fairways. Just a word of the wise, when it comes to the par four's you may want to keep that driver in the bag as you are going to wind up overshooting your target. It is probably best to stick with the fairway wood or long iron.
Even though the course is considered to be relatively short (6,400 yards) the course has been host to local PGA and Golden State Tour stops.
For those that want to get out and enjoy the sunshine while hitting the links, the Mesquite Golf and Country Club is the perfect place to get your swings in.
