Things can get pretty hot in the Palm Springs desert during the summertime, but no matter how hot it seems outside things are definitely hotter at the Caliente Tropics Resort.
Originally designed as a celebrity hangout during the 19060's, Caliente Tropics has become a hotspot for those that want to be close to all the downtown action.
Featuring a Polynesian theme, the hotel features one of the largest outdoor pools in the city. The poolside area isn't just for those looking to lay out and get a tan either or hang out in the spa either, the hotel offers a poolside bar on the weekend which is perfect for those that can't tear themselves away from their sun worshipping duties. For those that are able to tear themselves away from the lounge chair to get a bite to eat, La Casita Mexican Restaurant serves up some tasty Mexican dishes for lunch and dinner. If that isn't enough to tear you away from the pool maybe a massage or facial at the on-site Tropics Retreat would do the trick.
Each of the 90 guestrooms feature the same Polynesian decor as the hotel and come with custom furnishings. Room amenities include coffeemakers, ceiling fans, weekday newspapers and fridges. For those that are traveling with a pet, let the hotel know before hand so they can place you in a first floor room.
Whether it's the middle of summer or dead of winter, you can be sure that the action at Caliente Tropics Resort is always hot and heavy.
