Originally built as a private residence in 1925, the Ingleside Inn still brings that same home style atmosphere to its guests.
For years the inn was known as a favorite spot for celebrities to come and escape the pressure of Tinseltown, it was also not uncommon for Presidents to spend the night here. With such a famous clientele it should come as no surprise that the hotel was recognized as a Historical Landmark in 1990.
Hotel amenities include an Olympic size pool as well as an on-site restaurant, Melvyn's, which serves up some gourmet continental cuisine. While the food maybe mouthwatering, it isn't the only reason that many guests choose to dine here. Melvyn's ambiance harkens back to Old World charm as the restaurant features an oak and mahogany bar which was carved in 1895 and waiters are dressed in linen jackets as they serve bottles of wine straight from the wine cellar. For those that are looking for some nighttime entertainment you don't have to look any further than The Casablanca Room, the piano bar and lounge has a large variety of martinis and plenty of space for you to go out and hit the dance floor.
Designed as a hacienda, each of the 30 guestrooms feature fireplaces, fully stocked fridges, antique furnishings, whirlpool tubs and private patios.
